Security Membership

Congratulations on taking the next step to being a security member of the BSCAA.

Security Membership is for companies providing security services. Membership in an approved security industry organisation may be necessary to obtain a security firm license.

This membership is exclusively designed for companies actively involved in the security industry. By becoming a member, companies can demonstrate their dedication to the security industry in Australia and gain access to a network of like-minded professionals, industry knowledge and information.

This is an essential way for companies to enhance their reputation within the security industry.

It is a legislative requirement in Queensland that Security Firms join an approved security industry association to do any work in Queensland.

Qld Security Member Compliance audits

When you become a security member with BSCAA in Queensland, you will need to provide a recent Code of Compliance Audit Certificate. If you do not have one, you will be required to undergo a Code of Compliance audit within the first twelve months of your membership. This audit will be conducted by an independent auditor appointed by BSCAA.

To ensure that you are following the code of conduct, BSCAA is obligated to conduct a security member compliance audit every three years after the initial audit.

The Industry Licensing Unit sets the minimum standard for BSCAA’s code of conduct.
