ELIAS STAMAS, PRESIDENT (GJK FACILITY SERVICES)

ELIAS STAMAS, PRESIDENT 

Elias Stamas is a senior executive with over 12 years of experience in the Cleaning Industry. He has held the role of Chief Operating Officer at GJK Facility Services since 2018, providing leadership, strategic planning, and tactical execution of business strategy.

Known for his warm demeanour and passion for the industry, Elias has an acute understanding that leadership and people drive the success of an organisation.

As a BSCAA committee member since 2017 and appointed as President in 2018, he is passionate about the success and growth of the industry and is keen to harness the collective power of like-minded individuals and organisations. Elias believes the future of the Industry hinges on continued collaboration to learn and exchange best practices to deliver tailored customer-centric solutions.

SPIROULLA PLOUDIAS, VICE PRESIDENT (GLOBE WILLIAMS INTERNATIONAL)

SPIROULLA PLOUDIAS, VICE PRESIDENT 

With over 15 years in the Facilities Management sector, Spiroulla Ploudias is the appointed General Manager, APAC at Globe Williams International and is responsible for instrumenting and achieving the company’s goals within the established client service and budgetary standards. She demonstrates expertise in all divisions evaluating strategic business objectives and ensuring the company’s operations are run efficiently whilst abiding by company policies and values.

Spiroulla commenced her employment with the Globe Williams International in 2006 at the Athens, Greece Headquarters. During this time, she seized the opportunity to grow her knowledge and experience in the Facility Management sector and led the Operational, Marketing, Human Resources, Office Management, and Special Project teams.

In 2008, Spiroulla was appointed National Operations Manager at the Australian Headquarters in Melbourne and was instrumental in leading Globe Williams Australia in rapidly growing turnover by 60%. She is both driven and focused on implementing both innovative and statutory changes that continue to keep Globe Williams International at the industry’s leading edge. In 2019, Spiroulla was appointed Vice President to the BSCAA Victoria Executive Committee.

KASUN SAMARAWICKRAMA, COMMITTEE MEMBER (ACADEMY SERVICES)

KASUN SAMARAWICKRAMA, COMMITTEE MEMBER 

Kasun has worked in the Cleaning/Soft Services industry for the last 18 years holding various senior managerial roles and is currently the General Manager of Academy Services.

Kasun has been on the Victorian Board since 2018 and is currently the Treasurer of the Victorian branch.

Darryl Soekoe BSCAA Board of Directors

DARRYL SOEKOE, COMMITTEE MEMBER

Darryl Soekoe is the General Manager at Sanifect, a company specialising in ‘more than cleaning”. He leads the company’s Sales, and Service Delivery teams, with a strong focus on Quality Assurances, ISO adherence, Cleaning efficacy and the minimisation of unnecessary waste. Prior to joining Sanifect, he has spent over twenty years in the Facilities industry, overseeing numerous hard and soft services with both local and international experience. His career has focuses on managing services and teams of various sizes, disciplines, and complexities. Darryl completed his Master of Science in Risk Management from Middlesex University and Bachelor of Science with Honours from the Open University UK.

SAM LATSIS, COMMITTEE MEMBER

Sam Latsis commenced his career in marketing following his graduation. Initially he spent the early years in retail marketing projects with Woolworths taking him in the industry to working with the ANZ Bank on a national marketing basis and he eventually transitioned into advertising agencies. Recognising that the services sector was rapidly growing and the way of the future, he accepted a position with GJ&K in the 80s which he learnt about the industry from the ground up finally moving from area manager to a sales and marketing position.

Looking for new challenges, Sam then established his own cleaning business which has nurtured to the company it exists as today. With over thirty years he continues to look for new and exciting challenges and hopes he can bring some new enthusiasm to BSCAA as one of the newest committee members.
