MARK nipper, CHAIR, COMMITTEE MEMBER
With over 30 years’ experience in the Commercial Cleaning sector, Mark has extensive hands on industry knowledge. Starting as a cleaner in the late 1990’s, Mark has worked his way through the ranks to be the owner and Managing Director of Sharman Property Services.
Having performed operational, administrative and sales roles during his career, Mark has a comprehensive understanding about the challenges faced by business owners within our industry.
Embracing the benefits of education, Mark has completed a Masters of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science and the capstone Directors course with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mark Hohn, Vice CHAIR, COMMITTEE MEMBER
Mark is the Managing Director of CMBM Facility Services and joined the BSCAA board in 2017. CMBM is a leading provider of cleaning, maintenance, building and facility management services.
Mark has 15 years in the facility services industry and is directly accountable for sales, operations and service delivery throughout Queensland to a large range of sectors. He is a graduate of the AICD and holds a Diploma in Business and Management.
Mark joined the BSCAA board in 2017.
KEN HOLDER, COMMITTEE MEMBER
Ken has over 25 years of executive and directorship experience in facility services, industrial, building, and manufactured products. Ken has successfully led and transformed multiple location business units, driving revenue and profit growth. He is the former CEO of two national contract cleaning and security companies (2008-2022) and currently works with Austral Facility Services focusing on corporate governance and compliance. Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts (Hons) and MBA. He is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
In 2014, Ken was appointed as an employer representative non-executive director on the Board of the Contract Cleaning Industry Portable Long Service Leave (QLeave), where he continues to serve.
Ken joined the BCSAA Queensland Board in 2023.
ANDREW BOURKE, COMMITTEE MEMBER
Andrew is the Managing Director of Executive Security Group.
Wth 25+ years professional Director experience across multiple and diverse industries, including business development, business operations and leadership across several Industries.
Andrew is experienced with Service industry, Construction, Education, Hospitality, Event Industry, Hotels & Club and over 25yrs Event Security Management at the at the QLD Cricketers Club the Gabba.
Andrew joined the BSCAA Queensland Board in August 2022.
STEVE SZEKELY, COMMITTEE MEMBER
Steve co-founded Blue Property Services with his partner in 2010 and serves as Business Manager. Together, they grew the business from a small operation into a trusted provider in the commercial cleaning industry, building a reliable service model for SMEs. Steve’s hands-on experience in leadership, service delivery, quality assurance, and client management gives him deep insight into the challenges cleaning businesses face.
He has driven the development of structured processes, training frameworks, and performance systems to ensure sustainable growth and consistent standards. Committed to professionalism and continuous improvement, Steve champions initiatives that strengthen small and medium cleaning enterprises.
Recently appointed to the BSCAA Queensland State Committee, Steve advocates for SMEs, ensuring their voice is heard in industry discussions and policy development. Through this role, he brings practical insights to support operational excellence and growth for smaller operators.
